A name, drawn in its own letters.
Otiyot turns a name, a verse or a date into a piece of art made entirely of Hebrew letterforms. Every letter's numerical value decides where it sits, how large it is drawn and which way it turns, so the same name always makes the same piece, and it is only ever that person's.
Make it yours
- Type in Hebrew, or type in English and the app transliterates; you can correct the Hebrew line
- A bare number becomes its Hebrew numeral; a date is read onto the Hebrew calendar (18 → י״ח, 3/14/1990 → י״ז אדר תש״נ)
- Two live sliders, density and contrast, plus finer knobs behind Adjust: variation, branches, flourish, scale, spread, tilt, jitter

Eight compositions

Each uses the letters differently: rings around a centre, one unbroken winding line, mirrored arms, warp and weft, columns standing about an axis, a branching tree, a grid you read as texture from across the room, or nested borders like a page waiting to be read.
Arithmetic, not meaning
Nothing here claims that a name's gematria means anything, predicts anything, or reveals anything. Gematria has a long and serious history in Jewish thought; this app borrows only its arithmetic, to make something beautiful. Fully offline: no accounts, no network, no analytics.
