Analysis: The Founder’s Decision Rules

  1. Identify the Hidden Variable: Ḥananya argues that if the "father" (the source or initial input) is distinct, the offspring is not the same as the mother. In business, if you use a tool or a process built on a fundamentally different philosophy or codebase, you cannot assume it acts like your native systems.
  2. The "Mule" Risk: When you mix legacy inputs with modern outputs, you create "diverse kinds." If you don't track the lineage of your data or your culture, you will eventually hit an integration wall that breaks your business logic.
  3. Evidence Over Assumption: Rabbi Abba’s practical test—observing physical characteristics like ear size and voice—is the ultimate KPI for reality. If you aren't sure about the nature of an input, you must test it against its functional markers before scaling.
