Hook
Have you ever accidentally knocked your favorite drinking glass off the kitchen counter and watched it explode into a hundred tiny, sparkling shards across the floor? In that split second, your heart drops. Your first thought is almost certainly annoyance, regret, or mild panic as you scramble to locate your shoes and grab a broom. In our modern throwaway culture, a broken glass signifies only one thing: total destruction, failure, and worthless garbage heading straight for the recycling bin. We naturally assume that once something breaks, its story is finished.
