The lesson here is that moving toward goodness requires a "sacrifice"—not of an animal, but of our pride, our time, and our comfort.

Rashi notes something beautiful about why the text is broken into small, distinct segments. He says these breaks were given so Moses could have an "interval for reflection." Even the greatest prophet needed time to process, think, and digest what he had just heard. If Moses needed breaks to understand the Divine, what does that say about us?
We live in a culture of "instant information." We consume content at light speed. But true learning—and true internal change—doesn't happen at 2x speed. It happens in the gaps.
