Have you ever found yourself trapped at a boisterous dinner party or family gathering where an over-enthusiastic host simply will not take "no" for an answer? Did you actually mean that your body will detonate into a thousand pieces? Of course not. Did you mean to create a legally binding lifetime vow? Not at all. You were just an overwhelmed person reaching for the strongest words available to build a wall that other people would finally respect.
