Have you ever kept a worn-out pair of shoes in the back of your closet for two years, telling yourself, "I might wear them when I paint the fence"? Or maybe you have a cracked ceramic mug on your desk holding paperclips. In physical terms, that mug is damaged goods. To a thrift store, it is practically trash. But in your daily life, because of how you look at it and use it, it still carries real function, value, and dignity.
This brings up a fascinating question that everyone faces at some point: What actually gives an object its identity and purpose? Is an object defined purely by its physical raw materials, by the price tag the market assigns to it, or by the invisible framework of human intention?
