Insight: The Ripple Effect of Our Presence
In Mishnah Oholot 1:4, the Sages detail how "defilement" travels—how touching one thing impacts the next. While the technical laws of purity are complex, the underlying reality is profound: we are never truly isolated. Our actions, our moods, and our "energy" ripple outward to those around us. Just as a person can become a conduit for impurity, we are constantly acting as conduits for our family’s emotional atmosphere. On this second day of Rosh Hashanah, we recognize that our internal state sets the "frequency" for our home. You don't have to be perfect, but you do have to be aware that your calm—or your chaos—is contagious.
