Insight: The Beauty of "Mean" Progress
Rambam teaches us that the moon’s movement is complex, involving multiple orbits and constant adjustments. Even to the ancients, the moon didn't appear to move in a perfectly straight line—it wobbled, sped up, and slowed down. Yet, there is a "mean" (average) path that keeps everything in alignment. In parenting, we often chase the "perfect" day, but our reality is more like the moon: full of orbits, epicycles, and inevitable "wobbles." We don’t need to be perfect; we just need to stay within the "mean"—the steady, loving rhythm that keeps our family moving forward, even when the days feel irregular.
